Job Title: QC Manager

Salary: £25k

Job Description:

My client in the Faversham area is looking for a QC Manager to work Sunday - Thursday approx. 40 hours a week but flexibility required. You will be reporting to the Technical Manager Objective:- • Support the Technical in achieving and maintaining all Technical and Quality Matters. • To Manage Q.A. and Print Room teams and set excellent standards in all sections of the business. • To ensure that Product is thoroughly Inspected on Intake, Online and Positive Release and that the required Quality Standards are adhered to at All Times and ensure All Products meet Customer (Supermarket) Specifications/EEC Standards in Full. Summary of Duties: 1. Organise and maintain the work rota for the Q.A. and Print Room team. 2. Manage and ensure that the Q.A. and Print Room teams operate efficiently and follow all company procedures and policies. 3. Direct and control all Daily, Weekly and Monthly internal Audits. 4. Liaise with all departments to ensure that quality standards, company procedures and policies are adhered to. 5. Ensure that all Q.A. and Print Room records are maintained accurately. 6. Control all Q.A. and Print Room colleague training needs and update training records regularly. 7. Ensure that all departments follow HACCP and food hygiene procedures. 8. Oversee Cleaning Operatives and ensure cleaning schedules are adhered to. 9. Control all customer label specifications and weekly alterations. 10. Communicate any changes in product specification and new product information to all the relevant departments and personnel. 11. Ensure that all Accidents and have been recorded and that reports are given to Health & Safety Manager to carry out investigation. 12. Maintain First Aid stocks. 13. Control all Organic procedures and records. 14. Update and help maintain the Product Management System. 15. Over viewing of the Ripening functions and procedures. 16. Equipment Control. 17. Equipment Calibrations. 18. Reporting any quality problems/issues to the Technical Manager. 19. Support the Technical Manager in all Technical matters. 20. Cover the Technical Manager in her absence. General Duties are as follows; • Follow the Health & Safety Company Policy at All Times Carrying out work in a safe manner and maintaining safety awareness at all times whilst at work and reporting hazards and matters concerning Health & Safety to QA Manager. • Follow the Clean as you Go Company Policy Ensure that the area in which you are working is Clean at All Times. • Follow All Company Policy and Procedures by setting an example. • Follow the companies professional ethics at All Times. KPI’s (Work Performance) Your performance will be measured by the following KPI’s; • Time Keeping • Time Management • Department performance • Quality Rejections. For this role it is vital that you have worked within the fruit industry before.
