Description:
My client in the Faversham area is looking for a Production Controller. You will be working a 4 on 4 off week, 7am - 7pm. You will be reporting to the Shift Manager (Production Manager)
Responsible For:- Line Leaders, Production Operatives, Barrow Boys, Hygienist, Agency
Objective:-
•Support the shift Manager in achieving and maintaining a Productive, Quality Focused and Cost Effective Operation, by Optimisation of All Resources and Materials.
•Control a Section of Production as designated by the shift Manager.
•Be Accountable for All Work Performed within your section, promoting excellent Company and Customer Standards ensuring work is completed on time and complying with All Company Procedures and Policies.
Summary of Daily Duties:-
1. Shift Start-Up - Ensure Production Area has been maintained from previous shift.
2. Ensure Product required for early shunts are prioritized, monitored and communicated to shift manager.
3. Works Order Allocation – Discuss and Allocate Works Orders to line leaders.
4. Staff Allocation - Allocate staff to each Production Line according to Line Standards, maximizing production cost efficiency, manage and send staff home accordingly.
5. Production Monitoring – Check Actual Performance with Production Standards (Staff No’s, Works Order Instructions, PPM’s, Health & Safety, Hygiene)
6. Stocks Office Liaison – Communicate and Discuss with shift manager our Customer Works Order Priorities
7. Warehouse Liaison – Communicate and Discuss Time Lines & Shunt Priorities Ensuring All Shunt Times are met and communicate to shift manager.
8. Shift Finish – Ensure Production Area is left Secure, Clean and Tidy.
Summary of General Duties:-
General Duties are as follows;
1. Ensure Company Health & Safety Policies are followed at All Times.
2. Ensure Company Fire Exits Kept Clear at All Times.
3. Ensure All Staff Carry Out the Duties in a Safe and Efficient Manner
4. Ensure section Staff are Following Company Hygiene Policies at All Times.
5. Ensure section Staff are Following Company Clean as You Go Policy at All Times.
6. Ensure Company 5S Kaizen Methodologies are followed at All Times.
7. Ensure Line Leaders, Barrow Boys and Operatives are correctly PPE within section.
8. Ensure Production Staff, Costs and Efficiencies are monitored and maximized throughout the section.
9. Encourage and Motivate All Production Staff on your section.
10. Ensure all Huddles are understood and implemented correctly plus sustained.
11. Ensure All Production Staff are trained and training needs discussed with shift manager.
12. Ensure section staff structure meets the needs of the business.
13. Ensure Holidays discussed with shift Manager, Cover Arranged and Implemented.
14. Proactively Liaise with shift manager to liaise with trade partners to ensure Pack Ahead (Go4’s) are allocated/available when necessary.
15. Audit Works Orders randomly to ensure that Line Leaders are balancing figures correctly.
16. Ensure Line Leaders thoroughly clean down Organic lines and complete cleaning records.
17. Perform planned Checks with line leaders to ensure Finished/End Stock correctly labeled and returned back to holding area or store.
18. Perform Random Checks to ensure scanning is operating correctly in and out of the Packhouse
19. Perform Random Checks with shift manager checking that Completed Products are compliant with trade partners needs.
20. Perform investigations for disciplinary matters
21. Discuss All Disciplinary Matters with shift manager
